November 14th saw the MKCPP’s AGM, incorporated into our regular meeting and it was very interesting indeed, with guest speakers Frankie O’Neill from the late Deb James’s superb brainchild, “Cancer In The Workplace,” and Chris Lewis who came down from London to tell us about “Chris’s Cancer Community” and its worldwide activities. We are lucky enough to enjoy the fabulous Look Good, Feel Better (LGFB) workshops here in Milton Keynes, so let’s support their national organisation’s carol concert in London on the evening of December 11th – if we can.
As you know, LGFB run monthly workshops for women with cancer at the Peartree Centre in MK. They have been going for two years now, headed up by the amazing professional makeup artist Gail Spooner, and bookings are already filling up for 2018. [Read more…]

With the advent of a growing NHS-wide need to share cancer care and particularly post-acute care within the community and GP/CCG jurisdictions, the Milton Keynes Cancer Patient Partnership (MKCPP) has spearheaded a new initiative in Milton Keynes entitled “Cancer and Beyond – your way ahead.”
This is within the MKCPP’s role as the only patient-led local cancer resource, information & support charity in our region.
