We are lucky enough to enjoy the fabulous Look Good, Feel Better (LGFB) workshops here in Milton Keynes, so let’s support their national organisation’s carol concert in London on the evening of December 11th – if we can.
As you know, LGFB run monthly workshops for women with cancer at the Peartree Centre in MK. They have been going for two years now, headed up by the amazing professional makeup artist Gail Spooner, and bookings are already filling up for 2018.
The workshops provide ladies with a fabulous opportunity not only to learn skincare and makeup techniques to compensate for chemo-related issues, but also benefit from superb “goody bags” with literally hundreds of pounds worth of high-quality skincare and makeup products … all for free.
And to make these occasions even more enjoyable, members of another of our great local cancer charities – Bosom Pals – attend each of the LGFB workshops and provide refreshments for all.
The Look Good, Feel Better charity needs our help
Although the big cosmetics and skin care companies donate wonderful products to include in the “goody bags,” there are still substantial costs involved in running the organisation and making sure the workshops happen on time, every time. We need to support them, if we can. So here is their message:
“Join cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better at their annual carol concert for a wonderful night’s entertainment with professional singers from the Concordia Foundation and Barts Chamber Choir, conducted by Ivor Setterfield and Choristers of St. Thomas-on-the Bourne. It is held in the beautiful St George’s Church, Hanover Square, W1 and the concert is followed by fizz and mince pies. If you would like to purchase multiple tickets or have any queries please email firstname.lastname@example.org.”
Hope to see you there!
