More tragic news: our good friend and MKCPP member Deborah James, aged just 37, passed Thursday July 27th from her rare and vicious type of lower gastro-intestinal cancer.
She only attended our group meetings from time to time as despite her terrible prognosis she kept busy right until the end, educating the regional business community about cancer in the workplace via her own HR business, running her Women In Business Networking group and parenting her 7 year-old daughter.
Our hearts go out to her family and close friends: she was one in a million and an inspiration to us all.
Here is the bulletin shared across social media by her family
It is with immense heartbreak and sadness that we announce the loss of our amazing & beautiful, Daughter, Sister and Mother Deborah James on Thursday 27th July 2017.
Deborah was with her family, friends and loved ones and passed away peacefully at the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton.
After a short spell at Northampton General Hospital and then the Cynthia Spencer Hospice we would like to pass on our deepest thanks and gratitude to everyone who looked after Deborah and her friends and family.
We are overwhelmed by the love and care shown by so many people Deborah knew. Details of her funeral will be announced in due course however our family would politely request privacy at this difficult time.
For and on behalf of the Family of Deborah James
May she rest in peace.
Debs, we miss you and always will.
